Ariana Grande Reveals She Did Send Pete Davidson ‘Thank U, Next’ Before Its Release – She Didn’t Want To ‘Blindside’ Him

The singer revealed that she indeed sent her former fiance Pete Davidson the song, Thank U, Next before it was released to the public. As you know, Ariana mentioned the SNL comedian’s name in it, as well as the names of a few of her other exes.
The songstress ended things with Pete by turning their time together into art – a song that instead of dissing him and expressing bitterness over the split, showed gratitude.
But while Ariana shared that Big Sean and Ricky Alvarez were sent the song before it was dropped, she said nothing about Pete at the time.
Had he been snubbed and blindsided? Apparently not!
During a brand new interview with Billboard, Ariana revealed that Pete was also aware of the lyrics before Thank U, Next was released.
About her decision to send the single to her exes, Ariana explained to the outlet that she ‘wasn’t going to blindside anybody.’
But that was not even the only song Ariana wrote for her now-ex-fiance.
As fans know, the star has a song named Pete Davidson on her latest album, Sweetener.
When asked about it now that they are no longer together, she made it very clear that she regrets nothing and loves the song just as much as the rest.
The celeb has been through a lot! In the span of just a couple of months, she broke her engagement to Pete and also lost her ex Mac Miller to a reported drug overdose.

About the album, Ariana said that it was born from a lot of ‘feminine energy, champagne, music, laughter and crying. This [album is] not particularly uplifting. A lot of it sounds upbeat, but it is actually a super sad chapter.’
